The beautifully designed, high-quality magnesium casing on this
model now boasts reduced weight combined with increased robustness:
resisting up to 100 kilo pressure, in particular protecting the
14.1-inch screen, the most common weak point for mobile computers.
The special resistance is also due to the screen's flexible mounting,
allowing it to yield to pressure, along with an additional buffer
zone intergated into the LCD frame. The motheboard also has a
"floating" construction yeilding to strong pressure
without casuing damage.
• Ultra-light business oriented model
Despite their extreme resilience, the CF-F8 weighs only 1670g, including
battery. The minimal weight makes this model an ideal companion
for sales people, business travellers and frequent flyers, who have
to cut down on baggage volume and weight, but still need reliable
protection for their notebook. As semi-rugged Toughbooks, the CF-F8
is designed to survive falls from a height of 30cm.
• Extended 6-Hour Operation
A high capacity Lithium-ion battery and carefully selected low power consumption components, give the CF-W4 an outstanding 7.5 hours of battery life – enough to get you through a typical working day. Thanks to an advanced heat-pipe system and the low-power components, the unit is fanless and therefore provides almost silent operation.
